Requirements for Pensioner Residency:
Application for Legal Residency: Submit your application along with a government fee of $50, signed and authenticated by a lawyer.
Affiliation Form: Complete the affiliation form provided by the immigration office.
Birth Certificate: Provide a certified and apostilled or legalized birth certificate.
Criminal Record Certification: Submit a certified and apostilled or legalized criminal record certification.
Certified Passport Copy: Include a certified copy of your passport.
Fingerprint Registration: Complete fingerprint registration at the Ministry of Public Security.
Photographs: Provide two recent passport-sized photos.
Application Fee: Pay a deposit of 125 colones plus 2.50 colones per page.
Spanish Translations: Ensure all documents are translated into Spanish.
Consular Registration Proof: Include proof of consular registration.
Notification Method: Specify a method for receiving notifications.
Category Change Fee: Pay the government fee of $250 for category change.
Pension Certification: Submit a certification proving a stable monthly pension of at least $1000.
CCSS Affiliation Proof: Provide proof of affiliation with the Costa Rican Social Security Fund (CCSS).
Security Deposit Proof: Submit proof of payment for the security deposit.
