The “inversionista” subcategory requires a one-time investment of minimun $150,000 in real estate, stocks, bonds or another opportunity of national interest. You can become a permanent resident after three years of temporary residence permit.
Your passport must be current and valid for at least six months beyond your intended stay.
Birth Certificate
Provide an official copy of your birth certificate, which may need to be apostilled or authenticated depending on the country of issue.

Background Check
Submit a criminal background check from your country of residence. This document must show that you have no criminal record and is usually valid for a specific period, often six months.

Valid documentation that can proof a one time investment in Costa Rica of US$150,000.00
