This process is managed by the "Dirección General de Migración y Extranjería" (DGME) and the "Ministerio de Trabajo". The work permit allows foreigners to engage in employment activities, ensuring they comply with the country's labor and immigration laws.

Requirements

Valid Passport

Your passport must be current and valid for at least six months beyond your intended stay.

Birth Certificate

Provide an official copy of your birth certificate, which may need to be apostilled or authenticated depending on the country of issue.

Background Check

Submit a criminal background check from your country of residence. This document must show that you have no criminal record and is usually valid for a specific period, often six months.

Employer's Letter

A letter from your employer specifying the nature of your job and confirming your employment status is required. This document should also indicate the duration of your contract and your role within the company.
